At Spa Pure, our mission is to relax your body, soothe your muscles and revitalize your skin — all in an elegant, intimate day spa setting.
Our staff of licensed professionals is hand-picked and trained in Spa Pure’s unique healing therapies, which combine traditional methods from Hawaii and the Far East with state-of-the-art techniques from around the globe.
We offer relaxing Swedish, Japanese pressure-point shiatsu, Hawaiian deep-tissue lomi lomi and therapeutic sports massage.
Unique among Hawaii spas, Spa Pure’s Ganban Yoku steam dome uses the safe far-infrared energy that is naturally present in pure Indian granite to open pores, stimulate youth-enhancing collagen and soften muscles — a perfect prelude to a healing full-body massage.
Our aestheticians are specialists in revitalizing your skin using carefully chosen techniques and top-of-the-line natural products from Phytoceane and Ola Hawaiian Bath and Body Products.
We strive to give clients a deeper relaxation than they have ever experienced before. Whether you seek total-body pampering, relief from muscle aches or stiffness, a soothing couples retreat or simply a time-out from daily life, we have the perfect solution for you.

Licensed massage therapist & Spa Pure co-owner
A lifelong student of the body, its musculature and movement, Dennis came to healing massage via a successful background in dance. He earned a degree in dance at the University of Hawaii and spent 15 years performing with Hawaii’s renowned Iona Contemporary Dance Theatre. With this intimate understanding of the body, he became a licensed massage therapist, honed his skills at one of Waikiki’s top hotel spas, and in 2000 opened Shiatsu & Massage Center. Six years later Dennis and his wife, Petula, spotted a ‘For Rent’ sign in the window of a Waikiki hotel. With natural stone and wood interiors and a hand-picked staff of trained massage professionals, they transformed that space into their vision of an intimate, elegant boutique healing center — and Spa Pure was born. Dennis’ massage draws on a blend of Swedish, shiatsu, deep-tissue lomi lomi and sports massage. He also uses reiki, muscle shortening, therapeutic body positioning, ROM, vibration, rhythm, and thoughtful touch. In Dennis’ expert hands, clients know they’ll get the benefit of a variety of modalities in a massage specially customized for their maximum benefit.

Petula’s first calling led her from her native Taiwan to study travel industry management in Hawaii. But after she met and married Dennis, she found her true passion in healing. Dennis had opened the Shiatsu & Massage Center, and as more and more clients sought out its services, Petula pitched in to help with the business side. Drawn to massage, she studied at the Aloha Academy of Healing Arts, learned more techniques from Dennis, and added aesthetician skills to her repertoire.
